PERHAM, Minn.– Perham girl’s basketball continues their great season with an important milestone by one of their key contributors as Willow Thiel recorded her 1,000 career rebound last week against Holdingford!

The Yellowjackets went on to beat the top-10 ranked Holdingford Saturday night by a score of 67-57. Thiel scored 30 points in the victory along with 17 boards to reach the career milestone. Over her four season career at Perham, Thiel has 1,736 points and last month became the all-time points leader in Perham girls basketball history.
Perham girls basketball has a 14-2 record this season and is the 6th ranked team in class AA according to QRF. The defending Section 8AA champs have a 7-1 record in the section and a 5-1 record in the Heart O Lakes Conference. Offensively, the Yellowjackets average 67.8 points per game while only allowing 50.4 PPG.
Thiel recently committed to continue her basketball career next season for Minnesota-Crookston Golden Eagles.
