Our next Wolverine Player Spotlight puts the focus on Owen Anderson, a junior on the Wadena-Deer Creek cross country team!

Here is what head cross country coach Mike Brunsberg had to say about Owen’s performance last week.

“Owen Anderson (junior) has settled in as our boys’ team #2 (behind Grant Nelson) with a series of Personal Record efforts–4 to be exact. Noteable in these great races has been his rise to “podium level” recognition–culminating in his 7th place ALL CONFERENCE finish (17:21) at the Park Region Conference Championship race. Owen has been doing the little things right for a long time, and the payoff has been increased strength, pace, and stamina in closing out his races with increased efficiency and competitiveness. Owen is an inspiration, a testimony to the value of hard work over time!”
