Our first Wolverine Player Spotlight for the 2023-24 school year is Claire Kapphahn, a freshman on the WDC girls tennis team!
Here is what Wadena-Deer Creek head tennis coach Jil Fiemeyer had to say about Claire’s performance last week.
“Claire is incredibly coachable and she takes what she learns from practices and from the coaches and executes it in a match. She is a fun player to watch as she moves her opponent around the court and isn’t afraid to come to the net. Claire is a dedicated athlete who works hard on the court and is fun to be around off the court. She is one of the players who has shown great improvement and growth since last year and earned the No. 2 singles spot this weekend in the Crookston tournament. I’m excited to see how she’s playing at the end of the season – she’s going to be one to watch and keep your eye on this season and in the years to come!”
Congratulations Claire!
