Our first recipients of the Wolverine Player Spotlight for the 2024-25 school year are juniors Anna Fiemeyer and Kaylee Endres! The tennis duo took home no. 1 doubles first place in the WDC/Staples-Motley Highway 10 Tournament last week.

Here is what co-head girl’s tennis coaches Jil Fiemeyer and Lindy Thompson had to say about Anna and Kaylee.

“Anna and Kaylee are both very deserving of this recognition! Anna and Kaylee are both juniors this year and have put in time over the summer working to better themselves and the program. They led summer rec activities for younger students and Anna played in a few summer tournaments. Since the beginning of the season, they have both acted as leaders and have been recognized by their peers as captains. So far this season they have been flexible and been willing to play in different positions. It has been so fun to watch them find success as a doubles team. They are good communicators and play with integrity. I know that both of these girls have very bright futures on and off the court and I am so excited to see what they can do!” ~ Lindy Thompson, co-head Girls Tennis Coach

“Anna Fiemeyer and Kaylee Endres are exceptionally deserving of the Wolverine Spotlight of the Week for their remarkable achievements and leadership on the varsity tennis team and in the classroom and community. Both juniors, Anna and Kaylee have shown steadfast dedication and hard work throughout their tenure, earning their roles as captains this year. Their versatility shines through as they excel in both singles and doubles matches. Recent victories at the Highway 10 and Crookston tournaments highlight their impressive skills, with Anna’s third consecutive first-place finish in No. 1 doubles at the Crookston tournament underscoring her consistent excellence. It is truly a privilege to coach such hardworking, fun-loving, and talented individuals. Anna and Kaylee’s coachability and positive attitudes not only elevate their own performances but also inspire their teammates, making them exemplary leaders and cherished members of the team.” ~ Jil Fiemeyer, co-head Tennis Coach
