Our next Wolverine Player Spotlight puts the focus on Addyson Gravelle, a senior on the Wadena-Deer Creek volleyball team. Addyson reached a HUGE milestone last week, reaching her 3,000th career set assist in a matchup against the Barnesville Trojans!
After that game, she had a total of 3,028 set assists. According to WDC Schools, Addyson is second all-time in program history for set assists. She is behind only her assistant coach, Courtney (Volkmann) Tumberg from the Class of 2011, who has 4,232 career set assists for the program best.
Here is what Wadena-Deer Creek head volleyball coach Sue Volkmann had to say about Addyson’s performance last week.
“Addy has been our starting setter since the 8th grade. As soon as she started elementary volleyball she has always wanted to be a setter. Courtney has worked with her over the years teaching her the position. She has worked hard to become the setter she is. Her knowledge of the game and understanding her hitters are her strong attributes.”
Congrats Addyson!
