Our next Wolverine Player of the Week is junior girls wrestler Faith Koning!

Faith participated in the Pine Island Tournament over the weekend. In the highly competitive girls wrestling event, she placed 6th at the 132 pound weight class.

Here is what WDC head wrestling coach Brad Wollum had to say about Faith’s performance last week.

“Faith has had a standout first year of wrestling. She’s currently ranked #4 in the entire state at 132lbs and for good reason. Faith continually asks for help from her coaches and teammates to learn more about the sport. She’s learned how to battle through injuries, properly cut and maintain weight, and balance her rodeo and wrestling careers.”
