This week’s Wolverine Player of the Week is 8th grade trackster Amber Collins.

Amber came out with a big time performance last week at a meet in Perham and shown head coach Marc Reynolds that she has great versatility and consistency,

“Amber has been a staple in our girls lineup all season.  She’ll run in any event we need her to from sprinting the 200 meter dash to running the 3200 meter run.  She’s also filled a much needed hole this season and is one of our top two high jumpers going into our true team and conference meets in the coming weeks!!  She had a couple of big wins for us last week in the 400 meter dash at Pillager on Thursday and the 800 meter run on Tuesday at Perham where she sat behind the lead group of girls and waited for the right time to kick it in for the win.  It was an exciting finish and a big personal record for her!!!  She beat an impressive group of runners from Park Rapids and Perham.”
