WADENA, Minn.– One local group supports another in Wadena. SuperOne Foods gave a donation of nearly $1,300 last week to Wadena County 4-H as part of their monthly round-up campaign.
During certain times of the year, customers at SuperOne are asked to “round up” or give a donation to a local group or organization across central Minnesota. Wadena County 4-H was the group featured from February 2-19 and shoppers at the grocery store showed their generosity. Donations from the till totaled up to $1,280.51 that was donated from SuperOne to the organization. Funds donated to Wadena County 4-H will go towards providing free events to youth in the area, according to Kim Dailey of Wadena County 4-H.
“We can’t say ‘thank you’ enough,” said Dailey during an interview on the Insight podcast Thursday morning. “That pays for kids to go to camp. It pays for kids to go to a livestock show or the State Fair. It lets me do the STEM nights and the project days for free for the entire community.”
