PERHAM, Minn.– It was record setting game Tuesday afternoon in Perham for one Yellowjacket.
Blaiz Schmidt recorded 8 runs batted Tuesday against the Hawley Nuggets, setting the Perham program record for RBIs in a single game.
Perham won both games of their doubleheader with Hawley, winning the first game 4-0. Thanks to Schmidt’s program-best performance, the Yellowjackets swept the double-dip with a 14-0 victory in 5 innings.
A season ago, Perham baseball reached the MSHSL Class AA State Championship. So far this season, the Yellowjackets are now 7-0 to start the 2024 season.
