PARKERS PRAIRIE, Minn.– The unusually warm temperatures this time of year feel great for most Minnesotans. However it does have an impact on some winter activities planned by organizations in central Minnesota. That includes the Panther Booster Fishing tournament, which was set to take place on Sunday.
The group made the announcement in a Facebook post. Their comments are below.
“Due to the warm temps causing the ice to deteriorate, we will be canceling the Panther Booster Fishing tournament.
However, we plan on still having our general raffle drawing at the City Park under the Gappa Shelter. People may purchase multiple raffle tickets but must be present to win. We will be selling tickets at the city park from 2 to 3:30. Fishing expert Nancy Koep will be coming from 2:30 to 3:15 for a fishing clinic. Followed by the fish house raffle drawing at the Dog House. Fish House tickets are still available, as well as general admission raffle tickets. Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday!”
