Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office Asking For Public’s Help In Search For Missing Man

HENNING, Minn.– The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office is putting out a call for the public’s help in searching for a man who has been missing since Saturday morning.

The Otter Tail County Sheriffs Office is looking for volunteers to assist in the search for Robert Shaw in rural Henning at 8 a.m. Monday morning. Volunteers are asked to meet at 21791 State Hwy 29 Henning, Minnesota.

Those available to assist must be able to search on foot through heavily wooded, marshy terrain. Appropriate clothing to include appropriate water proof boots. Please have a charged cell phone and bug repellent. To assist with tracking the areas searched, please download the free “Caltopo” App. B&D’s Foods in Henning will be providing a meal to volunteers from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Missing

Sunday’s search included State Patrol Aircraft(s), National Guard Civil Air Patrol, Multiple K9’s, Drones, Airboat, Horses, UTV’s and over 150 local volunteer community members and Firemen as well as 2 Search and Rescue teams which also included artificial intelligence technology.

Robert was wearing khaki pants and possibly a green flannel. Robert is a 79 year old Caucasian male approximately 5’10” and 160 pounds. He has dementia and has been missing since early Saturday morning from the rural Henning area.
