Menahga Midsummer Celebration Returns This Weekend

MENAHGA, Minn.– Menahga’s Midsummer Celebration is coming back to Menahga this weekend.

Here is the full list of activities.

Friday, July 12

  • 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Free jukebox and happy hour at Northbound Spirits
  • 12 – 10 p.m. – Ice cream at Scoopology
  • 5 p.m. – close – Gateway Lions – food tent at Northbound Spirits
  • 5 p.m. – Burgers, brats, & fair food, Races at VFW
  • 6 p.m. – Miss Menahga/Little Miss Menahga Pageant
  • 7 p.m. – Sounds of Spirit Lake featuring “The Hilldales” – food available at Spirit Lake Stage
  • 7:30 p.m. – Midway Snurdbirds play Nimrod Gnats at Menahga High School Baseball Field
  • 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. – “Face For Radio” performing at Northbound Spirits

Saturday, July 13

  • 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. – Redeemer Lutheran Food Booth at Lakes Area Co-op Hardware Store (Coffee, cookies, burgers & hot dogs)
  • 8 a.m. – Lil St. Urho Run up to age 10 at football field
  • 9 a.m. – 43rd St. Urho Run 5k Walk/Run & 10k presented by UNC Cross Country
  • 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Arts & Crafts Fair at Menahga Elementary School sidewalk
  • 9 a.m. – Doubles Horseshoe Tourney at Menahga Park Campground
  • 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Blueberry ice cream at museum
  • 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. – Island Breeze Food Truck (chicken, fried oreos, smoothies, snow cones)
  • 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. – Summer rec kids games at football field
  • 11 a.m. – Burgers, brats, & fair food at VFW
  • 12 – 1 p.m. – VFW Kid’s Fishing Derby at fishing pier
  • 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Free jukebox and happy hour at Northbound Spirits
  • 12 – 8 p.m. – Ice cream cones and sundaes at First English Lutheran Church
  • 12 – 9 p.m. – Food served at Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church
  • 12 – 10 p.m. – Ice cream at Scoopology
  • 1 – 4 p.m. – Ice cream floats, cookie, and coffee at Senior Center
  • 1 p.m. – Singles Horseshoe Tournament Menahga Park Campground
  • 1 – 3 p.m. – Menahga Fireman Wars
  • 1 – 6 p.m. – Kids games, dunk tank, fundraiser for Menahga baseball at Menahga Elementary School Playground on basketball court
  • 2 p.m. – Disc Golf Tournament at Menahga Park Campground, $20 2-person scramble with prizes awarded
  • 2:30 p.m. – Sr. men’s baseball game vs. Urbana at Menahga High School Baseball Field
  • 3 p.m. – Ice cream eating contest at Chick Bee Farms
  • 3 p.m. – Races at VFW
  • 3 – 6 p.m. – Antique Car Show at Shell Sport & Bait
  • 3 – 6 p.m. – Ninja Anywhere at elementary parking lot
  • 4 p.m. – close – Gateway Lions – food tent at Northbound Spirits
  • 7 p.m. – Midsummer Grand Parade with music after at Spirit Lake Stage
  • 8 p.m. – “Back For More” live music at VFW
  • 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. – “Drink 182” Band performs at Northbound Spirits
  • 9:45 p.m. – Raffle drawings at Spirit Lake stage
  • Dusk – Fireworks fired from barges off Spirit Lake

Sunday, July 14

  • 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. – Lions Pancake Breakfast at the VFW
  • 10 a.m. – Non-denominational church service at Spirit Lake Stage
  • 1 p.m. – Bingo at Menahga VFW
  • 12 – 10 p.m. – Ice cream at Scoopology
  • 12 p.m. – Burgers, brats, & fair food at VFW
  • 3:30 p.m. – Racheal Ianrio performing live music at VFW
