
STAPLES, MINN (KWAD) – Lakewood Health System in Staples has been named by Newsweek as one of the Best 400 Hospitals in the United States.
The Mayo Clinic in Rochester once again topped the list, both in the World and US rankings. This marks the seventh straight year Mayo has topped both rankings, which are based on patient surveys, peer recommendations from over 80,000 healthcare professionals, and key performance metrics like patient safety and quality of care.
Mayo is also the only Minnesota hospital to crack the global Top 250. But Minnesota still made a strong showing in the U.S. rankings, with 16 other hospitals earning a spot in the best 400 Hospitals in the United States—including Lakewood Health System at 243, Perham Health Clinic at 319, and Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby at 364.
