FARGO, N.D.– Just like the summer before, a central Minnesota baseball product is going west to play professional baseball. Sebeka alum Kolby Kiser has been added to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks roster this week!
The official RedHawks website lists Kiser as a pitcher. He becomes teammates with Wadena-Deer Creek alum Jake Dykhoff, also on the roster as a pitcher. The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks play in the American Association of Professional Baseball, a 12-team professional league based in the Midwest.
Kiser made his RedHawks debut Tuesday afternoon in a game against the Kansas City Monarchs. In relief, he pitched 3 shutout innings while allowing only one hit and struck out 2 batters. The RedHawks beat the Monarchs 5-4 and Kiser earned the win in relief, his first win as a professional pitcher.
Kiser has also pitched in local amateur baseball, pitching for his hometown Sebeka Stingers. He recently finished his collegiate career with the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs in Marshall, Minn. where he was a two-time NSIC First-Team Pitcher in 2023 and 2024. Last summer, he was a leader in ERA in the amateur Northwoods League pitching for the Mankato MoonDogs in 2023.
The RedHawks are 3-2 on the young season. Statistics to follow both Kiser and Dykhoff can be found on the RedHawks website.
