Rochester, Minn (KWAD) – The Minnesota Broadcasters Association held its prestigious Hall of Fame ceremony on Tuesday, honoring a number of broadcasting legends, including four members of the renowned Hubbard family. Siblings Robert, Ginny, Stan, and Kari Hubbard, all descendants of Stanley E. Hubbard, the founder of Hubbard Broadcasting, were inducted together in a momentous celebration.

“As a sibling group, we worked together as a team, so it’s perfectly appropriate and makes great sense that we all be inducted at the same time,” Ginny Hubbard expressed during the ceremony.

Hubbard Broadcasting, a Minnesota broadcasting powerhouse with nearly 100 years of history, has shaped the state’s media landscape. Stanley E. Hubbard launched the company in the Twin Cities, which has since expanded to include 14 TV stations, six of which are in Minnesota, and 54 radio stations, with 19 located in the state. Those stations include broadcast signals in Wadena (Superstation K106, 920 KWAD, 1430 KNSP), Alexandria (100.7 KIK-FM, Cool 94.3), Brainerd/Baxter (106.7 WJJY, 107.9 Power Loon, Cool 103.5, B93.3, 1380 KLIZ/The Fan) and Bemidji (95.5 KZY, KB101, KBUN, and Z99).

The current generation of Hubbards continues to steer the legacy forward. Stan E. Hubbard is Chairman and CEO of Hubbard Broadcasting, Robert W. Hubbard serves as Vice President and President of the Television division, Kari Hubbard-Rominski runs the corporation’s foundation, and Ginny Hubbard Morris is the Chairwoman and CEO of Hubbard Radio.

This induction marks the third generation of Hubbards to be honored in the Hall of Fame, following in the footsteps of their father, Stanley S. Hubbard, and grandfather, Stanley E. Hubbard, who were charter inductees in 2001.

Joining the Hubbards in the class of 2024 were other distinguished broadcasters, including KMOJ Radio’s Walter “Q Bear” Banks, longtime newspaper columnist Bill Diehl, WCCO-TV political reporter Pat Kessler, and broadcast engineers Park and Paula Persons.
