Here’s All The Local Halloween Activities Going On This Weekend Through Halloween

Spooky season is in full gear! Plenty of places around central Minnesota are loading up on candy and fun activities for this weekend and Halloween night.

Here is a list of Halloween-themed activities across the region.

Saturday, October 26

  • Wadena Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a Halloween Costume Crawl from 3-9 p.m. at participating pubs in Wadena. Pick up a crawl card at Highway 10 Billiards & Pub, Drastic Measures Brewing, The Iron Corral, Wadena Elks Lodge, The Uptown, and Wadena VFW. Enjoy a costume contest, prizes, and more ghoulish fun! After the Halloween dance and karaoke at the Wadena VFW from 9-11 p.m. No cover charge!
  •  NYM Civic & Commerce Association is holding a FREE Halloween Party at the NYM Cultural Center from 12-3 p.m. with free games, tricks, treats, and more!
  • Karvonen Family Funeral Home in Wadena presents the Addams Family Boo Bash from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Join them for a safe and FREE indoor Halloween event. Box mazes, a costume contest, candy and snacks, and prizes. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday, October 27

  • Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek is hosting a Trunk or Treat in the church parking lot. Hosted by Deer Creek Fire and Rescue and Trinity Lutheran Church. Community members are encouraged to bring a trunk and join in on the fun!
  • New Life Church of God in Bertha is hosting a Candy Through the Bible Trunk or Treat from 4-6 p.m. at the church parking lot.

Thursday, October 31

  • The Maslowski Wellness and Research Center in Wadena is hosting Halloween at The Mas from 4-6 p.m. Bring the kids in their Halloween costumes for a Halloween craft and treats. It is a free event for all community members
  • Trunks for Treat at the Ottertail Community Center from 5-7 p.m. 10, $50 cash prizes for best decorated trunks. Pumpkin decorating at community center. First 100 trick or treaters get take home cookie decorating kits. Free hot dogs, chips, and lemonade until gone.
  • 13th Annual Trunk or Treat at Mills Country Market in New York Mills from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Trick or Treat Halloween Kiddie Parade in Wadena. Starts at 3:45 p.m. line-up starts on Aldrich Ave. (Near Drastic Measures Brewing). Parade begins at 4 p.m.
