CROSBY, Minn.– Crosby-Ironton’s Tori Oehrlein has spent her impressive high school career reaching milestones. Tuesday night, she once again made Minnesota State High School League history.

Oehrlein scored her 4,000th career point last night on her home floor in a 110-27 victory over East Central, a feat that only two other girls basketball players have reached.

A Minnesota Golden Gopher commit, Oehrlein came into Tuesday night’s game just 40 points away from history. She hit a three-point shot in the second half to pass the 4,000 point mark and finished the night with 42 points.

Rebekah Dahlman of Braham is the all-time MSHSL leader in points for girls basketball. She played from 2007-2013 and scored 5,060 career points. Minnehaha Academy’s Addison Mack recently passed the 4,000 point threshold last month. After Oehrlein, Providence Academy junior Maddyn Greenway is just three points away from becoming the 4th-ever girls basketball player to reach 4,000.

Sari Noga of Parkers Prairie still remains on that top-10 all-time scorers list. The Panther, who played from 2005-2010, sits 6th all-time 3,571 career points among retired players. Active players are not included in the MSHSL’s all-time list until their high school careers come to an end.

The Rangers are 18-0 on the season and are ranked third in Class AA. Behind only Providence Academy (No. 1) and Minnehaha Academy (No. 2) according to the QRF.
