Our next Wolverine Player Spotlight puts the focus on Amber Collins, a senior on the Wadena-Deer Creek cross country team!

Here is what head cross country coach Mike Brunsberg had to say about Amber’s performance last week.

“Amber is making her senior season count! Traditionally, Amber starts the season slow and builds. This year, she’s running some of the best early/mid-season times of her storied career. At the Dragon Twilight, she even came within a second of her PR–which was set in 2021 (9th grade). In Melrose, Amber’s 5th place finish was up from a 26th place showing last season at the same meet. It means a lot for her teammates to see her continue to work hard and improve. And as always, she shares a lot of “joy of running” with her smile and easy-going demeanor.”
