WADENA, Minn.– Central Minnesota lost a broadcasting icon in Mike Danvers when he passed away one year ago.

He had a tremendous impact to all who listened to his morning show and his sports coverage for decades on The Superstation K-106 (105.9FM) and KWAD (101.7FM/AM920). Danvers passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2023 while on vacation in Florida.

So former colleague Brad Williams decided to dedicate an episode of “The Mow and Snow Show” to honor Danvers and the legacy he left. Williams also brought on a panel of guests to share stories about Danvers, including current Hubbard Radio-Wadena broadcaster and former co-worker Corey Tackmann. The list of guests also includes Kelly Huber, Sue Pauly, Derek Falter, Dan Lawson, Dale Salge, and Jolene Johannes. Rare audio clips from Danvers were featured in the episode as well.
