WADENA, Minn.– Wadena-Deer Creek National Honor Society will be helping out in the community with their “Day of Caring” event next month.
The community service project will take place on Wednesday, April 27. Those with the school say the event is, “A day set aside for WDC students to give back to their community by volunteering to help people with outdoor clean-up projects.”
Students will rake leaves, weed flower beds, washing first floor windows, along with other tasks around the yard at no charge.
WDC school is looking for projects for the students to do for the Day of Caring. Those with projects can call 218-632-2444 and leave a message with your name, address, and phone number. Requests are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The deadline for calling in requests is Friday, April 22. If the event needs to be moved due to weather, it would then take place on Wednesday, May 4.
